Hey. Mary A, Mills conducted
the Harvest Thanksgiving Ser-
vice at the. St. Thomas. Anglican
Church, Sunday and took her
sermon from Genesis, explaining
the wonderful creations that God
had made, the creation of Heaven
and earth and the creation of man
in the image of God. We must see
ourselves as God's creative gifts
and give our thanks to God, for
provisions of our need,
The Church was nicely
decorated with flowers, fruit and
vegetables. The flowers on the
alter were in memory of the late
Mr, Hubert Hodgins, There will
be no service next Sunday at St.
Thomas Church, it being St.
Patricks Church, Saintsbury,
Harvest Anniversary Service.
At the United Church, Rev.
Elwood Morden was in charge of
the morning worship service
Sunday and preached his sermon
on "Our Motives", prescribing
cheerfulness as an extra wearing
quality, It gives harmony to? the
soul and is a perpetual song
without words, Worship renews
the spirit as sleep renews the
body.
Unit 4 met at the Granton
I United .Church Wednesday
evening with Mrs. Nelson Tate
presiding and opening the

miles, when, I was lambasting the
whole metric-Celsius non-sense
Can you, gentle reader, do a
fast bit of arithmetic in your head
when you encounter a road sign
announcing the speed limit in 45
kilometers per hour? When your
speedometer is marked in miles
per hour? And Will be for years to
come?
Will you happily pay your fine
when the cop puts the big blue
arm on you and claims you were
exceeding the speed limit by
seven k.p.h.? Must we all start
driving with a calculator-
computer in one hand?
Now these questions may not
be as important as some: How
old is God? How hot is it in hell?
flow long is a straight line? How '
far does a rolling stone?Whither
the Plat Earth Soeiety? Why does
everyone pick on me?
But they are, poor things, mine
own, and I'd like some answers.
