Seek grant
Exeter council decided thin
week to hold in abeyance a
request from Maryann Topp for a
grant of MO to help buy toys and
craft supplies for the "story
hour" group held each Tuesday
at the local library.
Mrs. Topp said about 18
youngsters, aged three and four,
attend, the weekly sessions which
are designed to help them get
along with their peers.
She said the organizers hated to'
charge a fee for the session.
Councillor Lo'ssy Fuller said it
may be possible to receive a
grant from the ministry of
culture and recreation for the
program. -
"It's a worthwhile program,
but I don't think we can fund
every worthwhile project," she
added,
Council asked her to in-
vestigate the grant possibilities
and report back.
