Resigns .but to whom?
Liz Bell has resigned as
secretary of xeter's committee
of adjustment, although there is
some confusion as to who should
handle that resignation.
Mrs. Bell was appointed by
council and submitted her
resignation to them this week.
However, Mayor Bruce Shaw
said council had erred in making
the appointment in the first place
as the committee should have
named their own secretary. He
therefore suggested the
resignation would have to be
approved by the committee and
not council.
Mrs. Bell's resignation
followed a rather heated meeting
of the committee last week when
they were considering an ap-
plication for a severance from
Exeter Produce & Storage to
sever some parcels of land north
and east of the Highway 4 and 83
intersection.
