Expert plowman, Roy Craig, Caledon East, will also offer very capable coaching advice. Plans for the 1978 International plowing match and farm machinery demonstration on the Jim Armstrong and surrounding farms near Wingham, September 26-30,. 1978, are progressing on schedule, The 57th Memorial Service and Decoration. Day at St, James Cemetery, Clandeboye, was observed Sunday. The service was conducted by Rev, John Holland of St. James Parish, assisted by Rev. Keith Brown of Lucan Clandeboye United Church. Mrs. Alan Hill was organist. Rev. G.C. Johnson of Ilderton was guest speaker. Harry Hern of Zion was guest soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Clarence Hardy at the organ.. The new caretakers of the cemetery, Mr. & Mrs. Earl Morgan, assisted by Mrs. Lucy Pescod had the cemetery well groomed and the many flowers placed in Memory of relatives and friends buried in that sacred place, made the cemetery a beautiful garden. Miss Susan Hardy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hardy, has been the recipient of many showers and parties, prior to her marriage that takes place this Saturday September 10, A surprise shower was held at the home of Janice Brick for employees of the Veterinary Wholesale, St, Marys, where Susan is employed. Donna Jones, St. Marys held a miscellaneous shower for members of the Broomball Team and other friends of Susan. Susans' uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Clarke, of Sarnia, were hosts for a Clarke family shower, Mrs. Violet Hardy, of Lucan grandmother of the bride en-' tertained the Hardy families in honour of Susan. The community shower was held in Maple Lodge School and Susan was presented with an electric fry pan, step-on can, cannister set, clothes hamper and a blanket from the com- munity plus many other gifts from friends and relatives. The Clandeboye ladies softball team eliminated Poplar Hill in the semi-finals and now meet Ailsa Craig in the finals, with the first game, on Wednesday night in Ailsa Craig, Come and cheer your team to the Championship.
