THE SEARCH FOR OIL CONTINUES — For weeks, rigs, like this haxt
been seen on all the township and county roads in this area, Teams
employed by geophysical exploration, companies, are trying to dis-
cover exactly where the best sites for future wells may be. The activity
has been stimulated by the federal government. Higher oil prices now
make it feasible to go after more expensive oil in areas where wells ore
traditionally less productive, Staff photo

Mr. & Mrs. John McAllister
have returned from a three week
trip to the Atlantic provinces and
the Eastern United States.
Holy Communion was ad-
ministered by Rev. G. A.
Anderson of St. Paul's Anglican
Church, Sunday. The flowers
were in memory of the late Jean
and Robert Middleton and placed
there by the family.
The service at Hensall United
Church on Sunday was conducted
by Rev. Don Beck, with Mrs.
John Turkheim at the organ and
Miss Karen McAllister at the
piano. Two piano and organ duets
were played -- "Allegretto" by
Haydn and "Supplication" by
Schubert. The title of the sermon
was, "Is there a soltition?" There
is a strong quest for religion in
the world of today. Goodness and
badness both abound in in-
dividuals, with death the final
sign of our insignificance. It is
necessary to see into the heart of
God as Peter did; then the future
holds life,
Church group activities are
resuming. Unit one will meet at 2
p.m. Thursday, September 8.
Unit 2 will meet for a pot luck
supper at 7 p.m. Monday, Sep-
tember 12.
