UC news John 4: 23 was chosen by Rev. Keith Brown for his sermon topic on Sunday at the Lucan United Church, Jesus pointed out to the woman of Samaria that "where" to worship was not important but "how" to worship - "in spirit and in 'truth" were the important things. Mr. Brown told his congregation that to worship God in spirit is to recognize what He has and is doing in the world through love and gratitude, giving ourselves to Him. To worship God in truth is to have absolute honesty in our hearts. A lovely duet was sung by Grace Faber and the organist Ray Koopman, "God Gives His People Strength", with guitar accompaniment by Grace. Two bouquets in the sanctuary were from the Cornish-McNiven wedding Saturday and a third one from the funeral of the late Tom Coursey. We extend to his family and loved ones, the prayers and sympathy of the congregation.
