year. Beloved daughter of the
late Mr. & Mrs. Joshua Johns,

August 15 from the R.C. Pinney
Funeral Home, Exeter with Rev.
Glen Wright officiating, Inter-
ment in Elimville Cemetery.

18, 1977, David Ashworth, for-
merly of Lucan, beloved husband
of the late Mabel (Keith) Ash-
worth. Dear father of (Margaret)
Mrs. (Rev.) Edward Attwell, of
R.R. 1, Kanata, Ont., (Marion)
Mrs. Roscoe Hodgins, of R.R. 1,
Lucan. Dear brother of Herbert
Ashworth, of Merton, and Miss
Pearl Ashworth, of London. Also
survived by seven grandchildren,
in his 88th year. The funeral was
held Saturday from the Lucan
Anglican Church with Rev. S.T.
James officiating. Interment in
St. James Cemetery, Clan-
deboye. The C,Haskett and Son
Funeral Home, Lucan was in
charge.

At South Huron Hospital,
Exeter on Friday, August 19,
1977, Annie Louise Craig of
Exeter in her 92nd year.
Daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs.
W.J. Carling. Survived by one
step-son Kenneth of Piston and
one step-daughter Mrs. Arthur
Brough (Edna) of Belleville; also
survived by several nieces and
nephews. The funeral was held
Saturday from the R.C. Dinney
Funeral Home, Exeter with Rev,
Glen Wright officiating. Inter-
ment in Exeter Cemetery.
The Carlings were one of the
first families to settle in Exeter,
Mrs. Craig participated in the
unveiling of a plaque at the 1967
Centennial celebrations in
Exeter. Her nixie Isaac was the
first Reeve of Exeter and his
home is now part of South Huron
Hospital.

Vera (Watson) Stephen. In
Huronview Home, Clinton, on
Friday, August 19th, 1977.
Beloved wife of the late Charles
Stephen, in her 85th year. Dear
mother of Clayton and Earl
Watson, both of St. Marys; also
survived by eight grandchildren,
and 24 greatchildren. Four
stepchildren, and 11 step-
grandchildren, The funeral was
held Monday from the Hopper-
Hockey Funeral Home, Exeter
with interment in Kirkton Union
Cemetery. •

13ridger wedding at Fullerton on

NURSING GRAD - Helen sent-
jens, daughter of Mr, and Mrs.
Theo Sentions, ilderton, recently
graduated from Seneca College,
Willowdale with her Nursing
Diploma. Helen was chosen
valedictorian and also received
an award for Distinguished Per-
formance presented by the York
Regional School of Nursing
Scholarship Fund. She has
accepted a position in York Coun-
ty hospital in Newmarket.
Three accidents were in-
vestigated this week by officers
of the Exeter town police force
with damages totalling $10,300.

when vehicles driven by John
Gilles, St. Marys and Florence
Steinberg, Farmington,
Michigan collided at the in-
tersection of Highways 4 and 83.
The Michigan driver was taken to
hospitalby Hoffman's
Ambulance.
Also, Friday, three vehicles
were involved in a crash on Main
Street, near the Save-U Gas Bar,
The drivers were Scott Peacock,
Exeter; Albert Middel, R.R. 5,
Goderich and Wallace Knee,
Centralia, Constable George
Robertson was the investigating
officer and listed damages at
$3,800.
Wednesday, a vehicle driven by
John Kernick, Mill Street, Exeter
Struck a parked car on Main
Street. It was owned by James
Cockwell, 168 Mill Street, Con-
stable Jim. Barnes set damages
at $1,000.
MAN CHARGED
The RCMP have laid charges
against a Huron Park man as the
result of a recent drug in-
vestigation.
Thomas J, Gloor has. been
charged with possession of drugs
for the purpose of trafficking.
OPP Constable Bill McIntyre
assisted in the investigation.
YOUTH BITTEN
A Huron Park youth, David
Gooch, was treated at South
Huron Hospital on Monday after
being bitten by a dog.
The 14-year-old sustained a
wound on the calf of his left leg.
