demolition may be completed as
late as November, depending
upon the Mennonites harvest, but
the arena interior should be
gutted long before then.
Material from the old arena
will be sold by auction and
possibly by two auctions, said
Knight. Knight suggested that an
early auction could be held in the
gutted arena to sell material
removed from the arena interior
and another auction could be held
to sell materials removed from
the building by the Mennonites.
A contract has not been signed
for construction of the new arena
but the total cost should still be
around $690,000 said Knight.
A fund-raising dance for the
new arena will be held at
Pineridge Chalet, August 20,
from nine to one o'clock with
music by Joe Overholt and the
standbys. The admission charge
will be $5.00 per couple.
