T-A photo By MRS, WILLIAM ROHDE About 95 people attended the Introductory Service on Friday evening for Mr. Ross Hargreaves of the Sweaburg area. Rev., Bruce Guy, Dashwood was in charge of the service, Rev. Stewart Miner of Exeter read the Scripture Lessons and Rev. Grant Mills of Exeter gave a very good address. The choir rendered an anthem with Miss Cheryl Stewart taking the solo part with Miss Agnes Bray at the organ. Ross Hargreaves announced the last hymn and pronounced the benediction. All went to the basement were Mr. & Mrs. Hargreaves and their two daughters Coyla Jean and Rosalind and Mrs. Ilargreave's sister were introduced, All enjoyed a smorgasbord lunch and a social hour. Mr. Hargreaves gave as his sermon on Sunday "Encouraged by Faith" at which a good crowd attended, On Sunday morning August 14 the service will be held By MRS. HEBER DAVIS Due to illness in the families the committee in charge of this years "Davis-Dickins" reunion have decided to cancel the picnic which was planned for August 21 at the home of Mr. and Mrs, Jim Barker. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Carroll and Mr. and Mrs. Heber Davis were dinner guests Saturday With Mr. and Mrs. Gorden Davis, London. Mr. and Mrs, Earl Greenlee spent last week holidaying in the Kingston, Thousand Island and Niagara Falls area. Church service was resumed at St. Patrick's church Sunday morning. Rev. Mary Mills en- joyed a months holiday including a trip to Newfoundland and northern Quebec. Mr, and Mrs. Robt, Tindall, Nancy, Marylou and Robert were dinner guests Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Heber Davis. Mrs. Tindall and Robert are observing August birthdays. at 10 a.m. at Elirnville at which Thames Road will join with them. Persona Is Mrs. Emma Passmore and Mrs, Russell Passmore of Ottawa visited relatives and friends in the community last week. Constable Barry Oliver, Mrs. Oliver, David, Ryan and Julie of New Hamburg spent the weekend with Mr, & Mrs. Jack Duncan, Mr, & Mrs. Danny Coward, Tracy, Mark and Erin spent last week camping at Lake Dore. Mrs, Hazel Jeffery, Mr. & Mrs. Glenn Jeffery visited on Sunday with Mr. & Mrs. Gordon Moir of Gorrie. Mr. & Mrs. Ron Dawe, Mt. Carmel visited on Sunday with Mrs. Glenn Rohde. Miss Elaine Pym, Elimville, Miss Lori Lynn Stewart are camping at Ryde Lake C.G.I.T. Camp at Gravenhurst this week and part of next week. Mr. & Mrs. Dennis Rowe, Mr, & Mrs. Danny Coward, Tracy, Mark and Erin attended a family gathering on Sunday at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Grant Skinner of Exeter'. Mr. & Mrs. Ross Hargreaves, Sweaburg moved to the manse last Tuesday. We welcome them to our community.
