Alberta, the residence of
Alberta's Premier and Lieut.-
Governor and visited the
museum. Leaving Edmonton we
continued our tour homeward,
stopped at the Saskatchewan
Farm Museum in Saskatoon on
our way to Regina, We left
Canada and continued homeward
through North Dakota, Min-
nesota, Wisconsin and Michigan
and on our last day of travel we
toured Frankenmuth.
Among other travellers on the
tour were Mrs. Della Hamilton,
Mrs. Georgina Webster, Mr, &
Mrs. Garnet Hicks, Mr. & Mrs.
Harold Taylor of Exeter, Mr. &
Mrs. Alex Latta, London, Mr. &
Mrs. Don Hotson, of Windsor. The
Latta's and Hotson's enjoyed a
get together with their uncle
Irving Neil and family in
Edmonton.
The Hick s and Taylor s were
guests for an evening in
Edmonton at the home of Mr. &
Mrs. Ross Jeffery,
The Fred Bowden's had a brief
visit in Calgary with Mr. & Mrs.
Chas. (better known as Scotty)
Baynham.
It was a good trip and there are
many things to see in Canada.
Before leaving on her trip Mrs.
Earl Dixon with her husband

Three hundred and forty people
were served by the Greenway
U.C.W. at their chicken barbecue
held Saturday evening, And talk
about pies! There were
strawberry and raspberry and

Mrs. Rose Isaac, her family,

Keith Young, who drives a

hospital, but is now convalescing
at his home.

Brown over the weekend.
Fred Kalep and Mrs. Lillian
McLean have returned to Detroit,
following a visit here with Mrs.
Gladys McLinchey and other
relatives,
Mr. & Mrs. Wm, W. Woodburn,
Douglas and Brian attended the
Sarnia Music Festival Saturday
and Sunday. The boys were tops
in their respective classes,
rendering guitar selections,

CENTRALIA
Mrs. Earl Dixon, Mr. & Mrs.
Fred Bowden returned home
Sunday evening following a three
week enjoyable, sight-seeing tour
of the West with Ilderton Tours.
The tour took us through
northern Michigan across the
Mackinac Bridge to Sault Ste.
Marie for our first night away
from home, Then on to Thunder
Bay, Winnipeg, and Regina
where we saw the R.C.M.P,
College, Museum and Chapel and
the Diefenbaker Homestead,
Our first long stop was in
Calgary and highlighting our stay
there was the Parade, Stampede,
Chuckwagon races, Grandstand
performance followed by a
magnificant display of fireworks
and a tour of the city. Among the
notables in the parade were
Prince Charles, the Honourable
John Diefenbaker and M.P. Jack
Horner.
On leaving Calgary we visited
Banff, beautiful Lake Louise, the
Buffalo Compound, and Mt.
Norquay. On our way to Van-
couver we drove through Rogers
Pass, past Hope Slide and
through the Okanagon Valley.
From Vancouver we went by
ferry to Vancouver Island,
landed at Nanaimo and drove the
coast to Victoria for a tour of the
city (the capital of B.C.) and
visited the Butchart Gardens
where we saw acres of floral
beauty,
On the tour of the city of
Vancouver we visited Stanley
Park, Queen Elizabeth Park,
Chinatown, Gas town, and drove
through a residential section of
the city.
British Columbia is a province
of great industry - logging,
mining, fruit growing and the
beauty of Butchart Gardens and
famous parks attracts many
tourists.

were among the guests at the
Fejkl-Gaunt wedding on
Saturday. The wedding took
place on the lawn at the home of
the bride's parents, Mr. & Mrs.
James Gaunt. The reception
followed at the Pineridge Chalet,
Hensel!,
Mr. & Mrs. Clayton Scheifele
have returned to their home in
Kitchener after visiting with Mrs.
Scheifele's sister, Mrs. Lorne
