Art group
picks slate
On July 19 a meeting of the
executive of the Grand Bend Art
Group took place at the home of
Mrs. Halina Crawford, The
following officers were elected:
president, Mrs. Puck Merkies;
treasurer, Miss Kim Henry;
secretary, Mrs. Halina
Crawford; public relations, Mrs.
Kay Gratton.
The purpose of the meeting was
to plan the activities of the group
for the coming year.
In addition to planning the art
classes, some_ discusgart took
place about the possibility of the
group sponsoring a bus outing
to Stratford in late August. It was
felt that this outing could be open
to the public and the fee, which
would be nominal, would include
a dinner at one of the hotels and
the viewing of one of the per-
formances at Stratford, It was
agreed this should prove a
welcome change for people who
had spent most of their time at
the beach all summer. This trip
will take place only if people of
this district show interest in such
an outing.
For further information, please
call Mrs. Kay Gratton at 238-2270.
