Royals up season wins to l7 Steer This Way By LARRY SNIDER If you have to stop for a light on a hill, use your brake pedal to hold the car. Feeding gas with the transmission in gear wastes gas - and may damage the transmission. Two-tone cars are corning back - but they'll be more sub- tle, say automakers. New paint jobs will probably feature two tones of the same color. A loose spark plug may cause a strange hissing and whistling noise, DON'T slam on the brakes in case of a skid. Take your foot off the gas and turn your wheels into the skid. This will help straighten the car. For best steering control, your two front tires should be the same same type, same size, same air pressure, even same tread wear. * * * For regular tire care, and new tires when you need them, see Larry Snider's.
