As the result Of a recom-
mendation from the Ontario Fire
Marshal's office members of the
Grand Bend volunteer fire
department will be undergoing
additional training.
Reeve Bob Sharen said the
biggest problem to date has been
the lack of facilities to carry out,
the proper training procedures.
Beginning in September a
practice training session complete
with lectures will be held each
month in addition to the regular
practices.
These training and practice
sessions will be held in the Grand
Bend Legion hall, It is not

Simpson who was quoted in last
week's issue of the North Lamb-
ton Sun as criticizing the firemen
said, "the statements attributed
to me were not true."
Simpson added, "Our firemen
are a bunch of super young men.
All, they need is a little more
training."
