Exeter residents may be able
to get a first hand view of how
some of their tax dollars have
been spent in the past couple of
years.
, At Monday night's meeting,
council named a three-member
committee to explore the
possibility of holding an open
house for the new police office,
administration office and the
works department building on
Nelson Street,
A public inspection of the latter
two had been talked about
several times in the past, but no
action had ever been taken.
Mayor Brute Shaw said that now
the police office is finished,
Council could stage a "travelling
Open howe" of all three facilities.
Named to the committee to
plan the event Were COundillOrs
Ted Wright, Barb Bell and Ken
Ottewell.
Police Chief Ted Day suggested
