successful plaque party over the

Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Ballantyne
attended the church service at
Thames view United Church
Sunday and were guests later
with Mr. & Mrs. Robert Ulch at
Rus.seldale. Sunday evening they
were supper guests with Mr. &
Mrs. William Harper of Mitchell.
Mr. & Mrs. William Rohde
visited Sunday evening with Mrs.
Doris Sweitzer in Grand Cove
Estates Grand Bend.

attended the Luther reunion at
the Dashwood Community
Centre.

Friday evening a good crowd
attended the Going Away Party
for Rev. Barry Robinson and
Mrs. Robinson and Elizabeth.
William Routly was chairman
for the program, Mrs. Freeman
Horn played several selections on
the organ, Readings "A Passing
Phase" and "Big Meeting Time"
were given by Mrs. Gilbert
Johns, Piano duets by Agnes and
Janet Bray, Readings "The Poor
Sick Crows" by Mrs. Floyd
Stewart and Donna and Mrs.
Stewart gave "The White
Magnolia Tree", Brenda
Ballantyne gave a piano solo.
A humorous song with Ruth
Bray, Brenda Hodgert, Diane
Hodgert, Laurel Hodgert,"
Pauline Pym, Donna Stewart and
Rev. Barry Robinson taking part,
The Rip-Cords Kitchen Band
gave several selections with Mrs.
Philip Johns at the piano and
Ruth Skinner the director, Mrs.
Howard Pym, Mrs. Floyd
Cooper, Mrs. Ross Skinner and
Mrs. Gilbert Johns all played
instruments.
A humorous skit portraying
over the last five years with
Sandra Stewart as the com-
mentator. The following took
part, Larry Dawson, as the
minister Rev. Barry Robinson,
Bob Hume playing the part of
Smoochie the dog, Mrs, David
Passmore as Mrs. Barry
Robinson, Agnes Bray the
organist, Mrs. Murray Dawson
as Mrs. Chi dley a former
ministers wife, Mrs. Ken Duncan
as a friend, Mrs. Larry Ballan-
tyne as Elizabeth Robinson, Mrs.
Mac Hodgert, Pat Hodgert, Mrs.
Glen Lamport, Mrs. Howard
Cunnington, Mrs. John Pym were
all friends that were invited to
Elizabeths birthday party,
The choir, Mrs. Donald Bray,
Brenda Ballantyne, Janet Bray,
Joyce Cunnington, Brenda
Hodgert, Carolyn Kellett,Pauline
Pym, Mrs. Wes Reid, Cheryl
Stewart, Donna Stewart, Mrs.
Floyd Stewart, Lori Lynn
Stewart, sang several numbers.
Heather Reid played the drums,
John Pym read a nicely worded
address and Gerald Cunnington
presented Elizabeth with a
necklace and some books, Mrs.
Glenn Jeffery presented Rev.
Barry and Mrs. Robinson with a
400 day clock and an envelope
with money.
Barry and Lynn both replied,
All joined in singing "For They
Are Jolly Good Fellows". All
went to the basement where a
smorgasbord lunch was partaken
of. Rev, Barry and Mrs. Robinson
and Elizabeth are leaving this
week for their new home in
Essex. We are sorry to see them
leave.
