CALLED TO BAR — Bonnie Jeyne
Wein, of 199 St. Vincent Street
South, Stratford, was called to
the Bar at Convocation
ceremonies held at the O'Keefe
Centre in Toronto, on March 29,
1977, A graduate of Central
Secondary School, and of York
, University, she received her L.L.B,
degree from Osgoode Hall Law
School before articling with the
Ministry of the Attorney General
in Toronto. In her Bar Admission
, Course she received the Criminal
Procedure First Prize, and the
Vera L, Parson's Award. Bonnie
has accepted a position as
counsel with the Crown Law Of-
fice — Criminal, Ministry of the
Attorney General, Toronto. She
attended Exeter Public School,
The Exeter U.C.W, General
Meeting had as its theme "Bear
One Another's Burdens." Mrs.
Glenn Fisher was in charge and
said that sometimes, because we
are white and have so much, we
may think we are the only
Christians, but need to
remember that God made all
races and all conditions of peo-
ple. We can bear one another's
burdens by starting at home and
helping where we can. Psalm 24
was read in unison and Mrs. J.
Sharpe led in prayer.
Benson Tuckey showed pic-
tures taken on his trip to Africa
and told us many interesting
facts about the people he saw
there. He was impressed with
the African people and found
them very friendly with the ex-
ception of Communist controlled
parts. He was introduced by Mrs,
E. Russell and thanked by Mrs.
W. Shapton.
Mrs. R. Dinney was in charge
of the business. The meeting
voted to give $25. to assist
medical students in Nepal, and
$2,000, to the local congregation.
Future events announced were
Mrs. 'Mabel Glenn is in St.
Josephs Hospital where she will
undergo surgery.

The Pride of Huron Rebekah
Lodge met Wednesday, June 15th
at 8 pm, with 41 present.
The Charter was draped in

There is a bus trip being plann-
ed for August 11 to Elora, leaving
the Lodge rooms at 9;00 a.m.

50th Anniversary celebration in
the fall.
