Miss Jeffery has ac- cepted a teaching position with Mitchell District High School and will be teaching family studies commencing in September. Miss Elizabeth Eaton left Sunday for Paris, France where she will visit with her sister, Kim, for several weeks. Their father Bruce who is in Zaria will visit with the two girls this comin& week-end. Later this summer the girls will travel through France, England, Scotland and Ireland, before returning to Canada in August. Mr. & Mrs. Charles Douglas celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary on Sunday with a Pearson family reunion at their home, Around 30 guests were present from Orangeville, Galt, Embro and Thamesford. Everyone enjoyed a bountiful meal, Sports convened by Cora Smith were; Mabel McKnight's team won the pass the spoon on the string; kick the slipper was won by Gladys McDonald; life saver and tooth pick contest was won by Gladys Skinners team. Margaret Fletcher conducted an old fashioned spelling bee which was won by Leona Hern. A guessing contest was won by Marj Arthur and Ina Browning; beans in a bottle contest was won by Vi Coates and a clothes pin contest was won by Ella Willards team; passing the orange under the chin contest by two groups, winners Marg Cooks side. An up and over ball contest was won by Olive Hicks group; a clothes pin in a bottle contest was won by Joyce Morgan.
