Linda Soldan. It was reported
that the rummage sale held
earlier in May showed a profit of
$423. This will be donated to the
Hensall Arena Building Fund,
and the Kinettes would like to
thank all those who participated
in any way in making this such a
success.
The Kinettes are now busy
planning for the Fiddler's Contest
where they will operate a food
booth on June 17 and 18 and also
for the Spring Fair to be held on
June 21.
The election of the new
executive was held with the

LEGION BREAK IN
The Hensall Legion was broken
into early Saturday morning.
Entrance was gained by breaking
a window. Nothing is reported to
be taken. The Exeter Detach-
ment of OPP are investigating.

SANITARY SEWER
CONNECTIONS
Pursuant to the provisions of bylaw No. 017-76 for the village
of Hensall, all persons are hereby reminded that drains for
sewage and the sanitary facilities shall be connected to the
main sanitary sewer no later than nine months after the
municipality has notified the property owner by registered
mail.
Upon application of the owner in writing, council may grant
an extension time for connection. Penalties of up to $1,000.00
may be imposed upon any person found guilty of a con-
travention of bylaw No. 017-76.

the Scripture and led in prayer.
The Pepper Sisters sang two
numbers "Pass It On" and "Sing
a Song" accompanied by their
sister Miss Brenda Pepper at the
piano,
Mrs, Emma Campbell in-
troduced ' the guest speakers,
Rev. Bruce Pierce and Mrs.
Pierce of Crediton. They showed
pictures of Western Canada
which were very picturesque and
Mrs. Pierce commentated them
in her usual humorous;manner.
Mrs. Bertha MacGregor
thanked the Pierce's and the
Pepper sisters for their con-
tribution to the program.

of Canadian culture.

visit Monkton Lodge June 10. The
bus will pick up the members at
the Lodge Hall at '7 p.m. Any
members wishing to goon the bus
trip to Toronto from Exeter were
to call the Noble Grand as soon as
possible.
Mrs. Campbell reported for the
visiting committee. Following
the meeting several members
attended the 30th anniversary of
Pride of Huron Lodge, Exeter.

The Apostle's Creed and
Pentecostgwere the topics chosen,
by Mrs. Eric Luther when she ;I
gave the study at the June
meeting of Unit 4 of the Hensall .
United Church U.C.W. The
Apostle's Creed is in universal
acceptance and belief in the
Christian Church, dating back to
about 500 A.D. and traditionally
ascribed to Christ's Apostles.
Mrs. Nelly Riley gave the
devotional and spoke on "Peace
of the Soul" based on the Biblical
verse John 14 vs. 27. The meeting
was held on Thursday, afternoon,
June 2 in the Fellowship Hall with
Mrs. James McAllistei%,
presiding. Twenty members
were present and it was reported
that sixty-seven visits to shut-ins
had been made during the month
of May.
Mrs. Erratt reported that nine
boxes had been packed for the
bale. Mrs. Sherritt reported on
the success of the Beef Bar-B-Q.
The meeting had opened with
Mrs. McAllister reading a poem,
"Ben Adhen" by Leigh Hunt and
the hymns, "Come let us sing of a
wonderful love" and "Will your
anchor hold in the storms of
life?" were sung. The meeting
closed with the Benediction and
Mrs. H. Luther and her com-
mittee served lunch.
