Over 100 seniors from Grand Bend, Dashwood, Goderich, Port Franks and Clinton registered for the mor- ning activities while their numbers swelled to close to 150 for the afternoon. The fun part of the day came in sing songs and dancing to the music of the Stratford Old Tvme Band in the Ausable Centre on the Main St. of Grand Bend. Rev. Harley Moore brought greetings to the seniors from the village as Reeve Sharer was unable to attend. The more serious portion of the day came with the introduction of the guest speaker, Mr. Jim Longman of London. The topic of Mr. Longman's speech was "Safety for Seniors" and Mr. Longman humorously em- phasized the many safety points he discussed with hand drawn cartoons featuring an accident prone beagle named Rufus.
