The ladies sponsor the team which this season copped the Shamrock "A" title and the Zone C Legion cham-

The Huron-Perth baseball
league, one of the oldest of its
kind in the Province of Ontario
will open the 1977 season on Sun-
day, May 15.
Bob Hoffman of Dashwood,
president of the popular in-
termediate baseball league
reports that four teams will see
action this summer,
They are the Dashwood Tigers,
Clinton Colts, Crediton Mets and
Thorndale. The Crediton club
will be augmented by several
players from the now defunct
Zurich Mets.
In addition to playing a regular
Motorcross set
at Hully Gully
The second annual CZ Jawa
Motocross series opens this
Sunday at Hully Gully.
The Motocross events will
encompass a total of four
weekends during May and June
and will again have the top
juniors and schoolboys in Ontario
supplying the competitive action,
Over 300 competitors have pre-
entered this Sunday's event with
race action beginning at 12 noon.
Top prize for the Series is a 1977
CZ RV 250 Motocrosser valued at
over $1,500. Trophies' will be
awarded weekly and awards of
excellence to the top five in every
class.

participate in an interlocking
series of home and home games
with four London junior teams
and junior clubs from Strathroy
and Sarnia.
The Dashwood Tigers will
have an exceptionally busy year
with an exhibition series against
Walsingham and possibly a pair
of games with Stratford juniors
and Tillsonburg.
Joe Fulop will be the manager
of the Dashwood Tigers with
Glenn Thurman and Bob Hoff-
man assisting in coaching in ad-
dition to their playing roles.
Others expected to line up with
the Tigers are Jim Hoffman,
John Hayter, Jim Guenther, Jim
Dietrich, Gary Hartman, Dave
Parsons, Rob Dickey, Brad
Gregus, Kevin Bestard, Joe Ar-
nold, Perry Stover, Rick Schilbe,
Doug Fairbairn, Joe Darling and
Joe O'Rourke.
The Crediton team will be
handled by Percy Bedard and
Pete Wuerth.
The Crediton pitching staff will
include Doug Geoffrey, Rick
Bowers, Larry Clarke, Paul
Truemner and Randy McKinnon.
In addition to managers Percy

expected to try out for the team
