PLEASING YOU PLEASES US
By MRS. J. TEMPLEMAN STAF FA
A combined annual and regular
meeting of the South Hibbert
Athletic Association was held
April 19, 1977 with eight people in
attendance.
The treasurer John Scott,
reported an overdraft of $38.28 at
the bank, plus outstanding ex-
penses of $222.77. A bank loan of
$3000 on the new booth is also
being held, Through grants and
other income it was estimated
that a further $500 to $1,000 could
probably be paid off on the bank
loan this year.
Don Johns reported that the
recreation committee had
scheduled a dance at the Mitchell
and District Community Centre
on December 3, 1977 with the
Silver tones playing.
The nominating committee
composed of Gordon Laing, Jim
Miller and Dennis Dow are to
have a complete slate of officers
for 1977 by the next meeting. It is
also hoped that at this time
coaches will have been found for
teams up to and including the
Bantams.
Af ter much discussion it was
decided that the older teams
should be responsible for
organizing themselves and fin-
ding their own coaches. The
association will provide them
with financial backing.
The next meeting is to be held
at 8:30 p.m, May 9 at the ball
park. Please come and help
support our young people
