We're proud to salute Ontario's championship "D" hockey team for the
honor they have won for themselves, and also for their community of South
Huron.
Championships are not only earned with ability, but also with dedication
and team spirit and you have certainly displayed that to the fullest this season.
We know the members of the team, their coach, manager, sponsors and
everyone associated in any way with the squad have worked hard this season
to bring this championship back to the community and we commend you highly
for your efforts.
We also know yOu have been great good-will ambassadors for our com-
munity, winning games through superior hockey skills and not through any of
the questionable tactics employed by some.
It is indeed encouraging to have young men set this type of example for
the young hockey enthusiasts in their community and it speaks well for the
future of this great game in the area.
We hope those eligible will be back next season to open our new South
Huron Recreation Centre in grand style with another season of excellent hockey
and sportsmanship.
