With 10 schools competing, South Huron scored 80 points to 79 for Stratford Central. Third place went to Listowel District High School with 69 points. Kathy Nicholson of Stratford Central won the girl's singles defeating Jill Tuckey of South Huron in the finals, In the boy's singles final, David Dusseldorp of Listowel beat Dennis Donnely of Goderich, 15-2, 15-3. Erin McConnell and Nancy Blowes of Stratford Central won the girl's doubles downing Sheila Penhale and Sheila Snider of South Huron, 15-6, 15-5 in the final.
