The fifth meeting of the Super
Sewers was held on Saturday,
March 26, at the home of the
assistant leader, Mrs, Jack
Hodgson.
The Roll Call was Observe for a
few minues some one you don't
know in school, at church or in
town shopping and what im-
pression did you form of that
person. How did the clothing they
were wearing influence your
impression?
Clothing Communicates was
discussed and the girls basted
their blouses together 'and then
fitted them. The next meeting
will be held at the home of the
leader, Mrs. Ralph Lynn on April
2.

dinner guests on Sunday.

their mother, Mrs. Ethel

Mrs. Arnold Blake visited on
Friday with her niece Cathy and
John Lapadat and new baby boy,

Richie Scott, son of Brenda and
Rick Scott of London spent a few
days last week with his grand-
parents Mr. & Mrs. George Lee
and with his cousins, the Carter
family.
Mr. & Mrs. John Brownlee,
Jack, Pam and Susan of
Gravenhurst spent the holiday
week with Mrs. Brownlee's
mother, Mrs. Ken Carter. From
there they visited with John's
mother, Mrs. Myrtle Brownlee
who is a patient at the
Craigholme Nursing Home, Ailsa
Craig. Also Jack Brownlee joined
his Gravenhurst hockey team on
Saturday and Sunday in London
where they participated in a
Minor Hockey Tournament.

Keith McFarland on the arrival
of a baby girl, Shallon Keif.
Mrs. Bill Cornelissen (nee
Karen Coughlin) has been the
recipient of several showers.
Debbie Lynn was hostess for a
miscellaneous shower for high
school friends on Wednesday
night. Cathy Verhey of Huron
Park held a miscellaneous
shower for friends of the bride
and the community shower was
held at Clandeboye United
Church and Karen was presented
with a vacuum cleaner, mixette
and cushions.
Several from this community
attended the Lucan-Biddulph
Canadian Cancer Society
Campaign kick-off and
educational night held at Lucan
Public School auditorium on
Tuesday night with guest
speaker, "Bill Brady" of CFPL,
Radio London. The canvassers
received their kits so give
generously to this worthy cause
when they call on you.
Winners have been announced
in the lucky draw held in con-
nection with the recent Crippled
Kids weekend at the Pineridge
Chalet.
Judge poultry
at table show
The Huron'Poultry, Pigeon and
Pet Stock Association staged a
table show when they met for
their March meeting at the
Ministry of Agriculture offices in
Clinton recently.
Judging of the entries was
carried out by Cliff Pepper,
Harvey Daniels, Vic Daniels and
Gord Stienacher, The com-
petition involved a large entry of
Standard and Bantam poultry.
Seventeen members and three
guests were on hand for the
meeting and Emery Baechler
won the attendance draw.
The next meeting of the
Association is planned for 8:00
p,m, April 19 at the same
location.
