Mr. Dave Sheppard, Miss Kim Anderson and Miss Janice McDonald, Mrs. Marsha Allen, Mrs. Donna Fuller, Mrs. Ruth Ann Authier were among the ones that attended the Hair Show in Toronto on the weekend. Weekend visitors with Mrs. Marion Mollard were Mr. & Mrs. Mowat, Randy and Greg, Mississauga, Mr. & Mrs. Bill Mollard, Lori Ann, Ken and Darryl, also grandson Mr. Ron Mollard all of London. Congratulations go to Mr. & Mrs. Verne Sharpe on the arrival of their grandson, Ken Graham, son of Mr. & Mrs. Glen Sharpe, Oakville. Mrs. Sharpe is staying for a time with them. Mr. & Mrs. John Neilsen arrived home on the weekend from a visit to Florida. Mr. & Mrs, George Charlton and Wayne spent the weekend with Mr. & Mrs. Rick Kellestine and Darrel Richard of Leamington. Many of the animals, such as the black bear, spend the winter in their cages, while others are put in special barns. HUGH MORENZ SHIPKA Joan Finkbeiner, along with Grade 12 classmates from South Huron High School at Exeter, and others, have returned from an eight day school sponsored trip to Holland, Belgium and Germany. Mrs. Tony Regier Jr. and Christopher returned home Sunday after holidaying a week with her parents here. On Saturday Mr. & Mrs. Ken Baker Sr. Nancy, (Sandra) Mrs. Tony Regier Jr. and Christopher visited the syrup making bush near Bayfield of Mr. & Mrs. Albert Schilbe. The Country Playhouse is sponsoring a special bus that will offer a box lunch dinner enroute. The bus is scheduled to depart Grand Bend at 6:15 p.m. and Parkhill at 6:35 p.m. The cost for transportation, box lunch and theatre ticket is $9 per person. "Private Lives" by Noel Coward was an audience favourite when it was produced at the Playhouse during the 1974 season. For more information on the bus trip phone 238-8387. Church news The Catholic Women's League held their March meeting Monday evening at the Alhambra hall with 17 in attendance. President, Mrs. Tom Vlemmix, presided. The C.W.L. Diocesan con- vention is to be held May 10 and 11, at Chatham and two members plan to attend. The travelling prize which was donated by Mrs. Mary Mom- mersteeg was won by Mrs. Theo Kelders. In the social time the ladies enjoyed a few games of bingo. * * 4 Rev, H. Moore's sermon topic Sunday morning at the United Church was "The Steadfast Face." Choir anthem was "My Lord will meet me in the gar- den." Good Friday service to be held this year at Grand Bend United Church on Friday, April 8, at 7.00 p.m. * * * Special speaker at the Church of God Sunday evening was Rev. Gary Weaver representing "Youth for Christ," S.E.E.D. program. Rev. Weaver also sang several songs accompanied by recorded music. He is the son of Rev. & Mrs. Gerald Weaver of London. Two car load of Church of God young people travelled to Blyth Thursday evening to meet with the Free Methodist young people for a skating party. The teen age young people of the United Church met Sunday p.m. in the S.S. rooms. Ellen Shepherd had worship service on the Good Samaritan, Easter Sunrise Service The Couples Club is assisting with the special Easter Sunrise service to be held at 7.00 a.m. Easter Sunday morning, April 10 at Grand Bend United Church. Following this special service, an "Easter Breakfast" will be served in the basement of the Church by the members of the Couples Club. Tickets for this 8 a.m: breakfast are available from members of the Club, Personals Brad and Brent Hamilton spelt the weekend with Brent's grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Alec Hamilton, Mr. & Mrs. Roy Morenz, Glenda and Tammy, called Sunday at the Funeral home in New Hamburg to pay their respects to Mrs. Morenz's cousin, Elmer Schlegel. Later they all visited in Stratford with Mr. & Mrs. William Woodward and Mr. & Mrs. Russell Cook. Mr. & Mrs. Ken Thompson of Cedar Springs visited Sunday with Rev, & Mrs. H. Moore, John and Paul. Paul Moore was home for the weekend from Morris burg. Rev. & Mrs. John Campbell, Laura Lee and Douglas spent a few days last week in Pontiac at Mrs. Campbell's parents home, Mr. & Mrs. Louie Walker. Mr. & Mrs. Alec Hamilton called at the Funeral home in Essex, Wednesday, to pay their respects to Alec's brother-in-law, Robert A. Patterson. Mrs. Don Hulbert, returned entertained their aunt Mrs. Leah Keyes of Exeter to dinner out in a restaurant on the occasion of her 90th birthday. Mr. & Mrs. Hugh Morenz were Sunday dinner guests with Mrs. Raymond Kading at Grand Bend. Mr. & Mrs. Ward Neeb, Zurich were Sunday dinner guests with Mr. & Mrs. Ferman Snyder. Mr. & Mrs. Ken Baker Sr. visited Sunday at Bayfield with Mr. & Mrs. Jake Reder. Thur- sday visitors with the Bakers were Mr. & Mrs. Earl Baker, St. Thomas. Mr. & Mrs. Sid Durie and Glenn visited Friday in Toronto with her mother Mrs. Peter Wardlaw, Mrs. Lynn Chambers of St. Catharines is holidaying this week, here, with her parents Sid and Eleanor Durie, and brother Glenn.
