Cromarty meets

CROMARTY
The president, Mrs. John
Templeman, was hostess for the
March meeting of the Marian
Ritchie Evening Auxiliary. Mrs.
Norman Harburn presided for
the worship service. Mrs. Eldon
Allen gave the topic, Christ Is the
Light of the World. Eleven
members answered the roll call
with a verse on Patience.
Mrs. Templeman announced
the Synodical to be held in Knox
Church, Stratford on April 12
and 13, and Cromarty W.M.S.
dinner and meeting on Good
Friday, to which all the ladies of
the church are invited.
The 1977 allocation has been set
at $400. and the supply allocation
at $2 per member plus $1 per
group. Eleven cards and five
visits were reported. Softly and
Tenderly was sung.
Mrs. Frank Hamilton con-
ducted a number quiz and the
study book leaflet, Listen to the
Heartbeats, was presented by
Mrs. Templeman and Mrs. Lorne
Elliott,
The study pointed out that both
the physically and mentally
handicapped have a right to live
among us with dignity. Very few
churches are equipped to handle
people in wheel chairs.
We should help the han-
dicapped to do things, not do
things for them; and we should
listen to what they want and not
do what we think they should
want.
Blest Be the Tie and prayer
closed the meeting. A display of
Amway products was described
by Mrs. Alex Miller.
