E. D. Stuart as guest speaker. Ladies from Zion West will be guests at the meeting and all the ladies of the community are invited to attend, Senior Citizens are reminded of the meeting in the Community Centre Monday afternoon, Miss Elaine Powe, St, Catharines and Mrs. Ron Brit- tain, Mississauga were visitors over the week end at the home of their parents, Mr, & Mrs Elmer Powe. The first meeting of Hurondale 14-H Homemaking Club "Clothes for Leisure" was held at the home of Janet Bray, February 28. The election of officers took place. President-Pauline Pym; secretary-Donna Stewart and vice-president-Gail Johns; Connie Jeffery; press reporter- Lori Lynn Stewart. Leaders are Mrs. Marilyn Pym and Mrs. Pat Ballantyne. The name of the club is "Lovely Lounger" and the color for the cover is Baby Blue. Lori Lynn Stewart is the cover designer. Mrs. Pym discussed record book technique, choosing clothes for leisure, fabrics for sleep wear and trims. Mrs. Ballantyne discussed sewing, getting material ready to cut and other thingsthat the girls would be learning. United Church Women The March meeting of the United Church Women was held Monday evening with 23 ladies pfesent Mrs. Arnold Cann was in charge of the meeting of which the Theme was "Soils of Life." Mrs. Cann gave the Call to Worship and the hymn "Lord Speak to Me", followed by the Scripture Lesson which was read by Mrs. William Rowcliffe. Mrs. Cann gave the message on the Theme "Soils of Life", followed by prayer. Mrs. David Passmore gave a reading "What Is Spring", Mrs. Rowcliffe received the offering and Mrs. Cann gave the prayer. Mrs. Cann showed a film, "Footnotes To Genesis" with the new projector, Mrs. Glen Stewart conducted the business, minutes, roll call, correspondence, treasurer's report and card report were received. The ladies sang "0 Worship the King" and all repeated the Mizaph Benediction. Lunch was served by Group C and the hostess Mrs. John Pym, Personals Miss Carolyn Kellett ac- companied Miss Barb Dietrich of Zurich to Ottawa for a few days. They left Friday evening. Mrs. & Mrs. Glenn Jeffery, Allan and Connie were Saturday evening guests with Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Ballantyne. Mr. & Mrs. George Kellett and Lawrence were Sunday evening guests with Miss Verda Kellett, Elimville. Mr. & Mrs. Ross Hodgert and Mr. & Mrs. William Rohde spent two weeks in Florida. Mr. & Mrs. Dennis Rowe spent the past two weeks in Florida. Cheryl Stewart and Donna Stewart sang a duet at Church Sunday morning. Mr. & Mrs. Bev Alexander and Mr. & Mrs. Mac Hodgert holidayed in Texas for two weeks. Mr. & Mrs. Hans Gertsenkorn, Linda and Steven of Hensall were Saturday evening guests with Mr. & Mrs. David Passmore. Mrs. Fred Johns is a patient in Seaforth Hospital. Miss Elaine Stewart of Sarnia is spending this week with her parents Mr. & Mrs. Jack Stewart and family. • Ten ladies attended the World Day of Prayer Service at Elimville, Friday. Kippen East Wometis Institute will be hosts to Elimville, Hen- sail, Grand Bend and Hurondale WI's when they have their Cultural Activities meeting In the Legion Hall, Hensall on March 16 at 8.30 p.m. The Roll Call will be, "What I hope to be doing 10 years from now." Each member is also asked to bring a treasured piece of glassware, china or silver and give its history. Mr. & Mrs. Joe Carter and Mr. & Mrs. Jack Trevithick will convene the next party. Mrs. Alma Lymdourne of Surrey B. C. is visiting a few weeks with her brother Mr. John Dyck, Mrs. Dyck and Victor. The March meeting of St. Mary's Guild, Brinsley was held Wednesday evening at the home , of Mrs. Charles Corbett with Mrs. Joe Morgan and Mrs. Corbett as hostesses. Mrs. William Yearley, Sandra and Larry were dinner guests on Saturday with Mrs. Violet Allison. Earl Lewis is a patient in St. Joseph's Hospital and David Morley the University Hospital. Mr. & Mrs. Jack Morgan and Mr. & Mrs. Jim Wright arrived home from a month holidays at Fort Myers, Florida. Mr. & Mrs. Don Newey, Colleen and Carol, Kingston were week- end visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Jack Trevithick, Mr, & Mrs. Gerald Thompson and family were Sunday dinner guests with Mr. & Mrs. Norman Lewis and family. Adam Durand and Kathleen Morley spent Tuesday afternoon with Mr. & Mrs. Jim Morley and Mr. & Mrs. Joe Durand in the evening. Donald Sutherland is still a patient in St. Joseph's Hospital. His many friends wish him a speedy recovery. The excavating work of the reservoir and pumping station on the Lake Huron pipe-line in McGillivray Township done by Ron Sutherland construction of Mt.
