March Sale Prices Still In Effect
Until March 12
by Dolores Shapton
Unit leader, Mrs. Glenn Fisher
welcomed the evening ladies of
Exeter U,C.W. and commented
on the pretty decorations with a
St. Patrick's Day theme,
Mrs. Robt, Dinney, ac-
companied by Mrs. Bev. Skinner
led in a sing song. Programme
convener, Mrs. Robert Coates,
reviewed the decline and fall of
Rome and compared it with our
time.
The point that pertained ,to
every day living was "Building of
gigantic armaments when the real
enemy was within the decadence
of the people. Using eggs to
demonstrate people, you find that
many are broken before they
become useful.
As the members of her group
demonstrated the various eggs,
members were to decide which
egg is most likely to have love
within. A rotten egg was not good
for anything and we should get to
our children before they are
spoiled.
A hard boiled egg proved to be
bitter, tough and crawled inside
of their shell while the scrambled
egg was all mixed up. Mrs, Harry
Dougall read the 23 Psalm for
Busy People and if one keeps this
in mind she could be more
organized. The devilled egg had a
change of heart and the pretty
Can't cure,
teach how
"We do not cure patients we
teach them to cure themselves."
Those were the words of South
Huron Hospital physio-therapist
John Westcott in speaking to
Tuesday's regular meeting of the
Hospital Auxiliary.
Westcott who is at the local
hospital three afternoons each
week stressed that all patients
are referrals from doctors and
their problem must be diagnosed
before coming to him.
He outlined the various methods
used in treating patients. These
include massage, manipulation
under supervision, electro
therapy, deep heat, micro wave,
steam pack machine mill infra-
red lamps.
Westcott told the ladies the
infra-red lamps are not to be
confused with ultra-violet lights.
Auxiliary members learned ,
that the solarium at the hospital
had been converted to a four bed
ward and their group had
provided the finances for the four
new beds,
Mrs. R. Hopper and Mrs. T.
Wilson will be the volunteer
drivers and serve tea for next
Tuesday's adult clinic. The next
regular meeting of the Auxiliary
will be held April 12 at 1 p.m. and
will begin with a pot luck dinner.
egg was lovely all dressed up for
Easter, Don't let the pretty egg
with all the decoration take away
from the Glory of the Cross and
the Resurrection.
The New Egg, which looked
alike in the first form as all
people do was fresh, ready to be
formed into the purpose of life
hoped to be or God had planned.
This all proves that what is inside
us affects and what goes on in the
Church and that the fresh egg did
have love inside,
, Mrs. Robert Dinney and Mrs.
Ross Tuckey sang a duet - People
living for people, people for love
and Mrs. Coates closed with
Prayer.
