Clandeboye 4-H Homemaking Clubs got under way last week. The project is "Consider your Clothes." At the first meeting the members were taught how to take measurements, choosing a pattern and discussed lines for illusion. They call themselves "Lazy Loungers". Clarence Carter refueled nearly 300 snowmobiles at the Check Point at Mooresville during Whipper Billy Watson's Snowarama for Timmy, an event aimed at raising money for crippled children. The machines wound their way along a 100 mile trail which started at Hully Gully, through Clinton, Seaforthi Hensall, Whalens Corners, IVIooresville, Mount Carmel, etc,, ending up back in Hully Gully. They were hoping to raise $60,000. The UCW met at the home of Mrs. Rupert Williams, Tuesday. Mrs. Rea Neil took the devotional part of the meeting. Mrs. Ethel Donaldson gave her report of the Middlesex Presbyterial held in Wesley-Knox United Church in London.
