`visit' Brazil
By MANUEL CURTS
Those who attended the variety
supper held in the United Church
last Friday evening sure got their
money's worth. Much credit is
due to the committee of the
U.C.W. headed by Mrs, Stuart
Bullock.
Following the supper the
audience was taken on an
illustrated tour of the county of
Brazil with Don Waters, Parkhill,
as commentator.
Situated in South America, a
country as large as the Dominion
of Canada, with its Amazon
River; its jungles' and its rich
farming land, its densely
populated cities (especially Rio
De Janeiro, which was pictured
as one of the most beautiful cities
of the world); and its rich people
and its poor people.
Those who heard and visioned
went home with a much better
knowledge of that country on the
other side of the equator.
The service in the United
Church next Sunday will be
conducted by the Rev. Jack
Thompson, London, secretary of
the District Branch of the
Canadian Bible Society.

Dear Editor:
We take this means of thanking
those kind people who have kept

I'm sure the senior citizens
appreciated the sidewalk from
Albert`to AridreW*Oti'safidd&t.
that was kept clean during the
winter. Again many thanks.
