Hawks on the move The Exeter junior Hawks with their best record in several seasons appear to be in good stead for the upcoming playoffs and a run at the Ontario championship. Currently the Hawks are in third place in the western division standings with 40 points, but only two points behind the league leading Mitchell Hawks and one point behind the second place Tavistock Braves. The Exeter club has played the same number of games as Tavistock and two less than Mitchell. The Hawks will face their toughest test of the season Friday night when they travel to Tavistock to take on the Braves. Hawks manager Fred Mommersteeg is confident his charges will fare well in the playoffs. Fred told us Monday morning, "If we can win in Tavistock Friday night we should Win the league championship. We have by far the best goals against average." Best of luck to Fred Mommersteeg, coach Ron Bogart and the Hawks as they prepare for the playoff trail.
