December 27, for their family

The Sunday School of St.
Mary's church, Brinsley held
their annual Christmas party on
December 22. Kevin Morgan was
chairman for a program of
musical numbers and recitations
by the children under the
leadership of the Sunday School
teachers Christine Dixon and
Mona Hodgins, Santa Claus
arrived to distribute the gifts.

Driver class
draws many
Minister of Transportation and
Communications James Snow
revealed today that during the
1975-76 school year, over 44,500
students at the secondary school
level successfully completed. a
driver education course.
The driver education course
was available at 568 of the
province's 615 secondary schools.
It is estimated that 30 per cent cif
students eligible to take the
training did so.
Driver education is provided
through the co-operation of the
Ministry of Education and MTC
and are taught by 1,255 qualified
driver training instructors.
In making the announcement,
Snow indicated, "Each year close
to 150,000 students reach the
driving age. And the aim of
driver education in the schools is
to provide an opportunity for
these young Ontarians to learn
good driving habits early in their
driving experience."
Since 1971, over 190,000
students have successfully
completed a driver instruction
course within the secondary
school system.
Don't laugh at others until

her 96th birthday, December 26
with a number of friends and
relatives at the Craigholme Nur-
sing Home in Ailsa Craig. Mrs.
Holt also received birthday wishes

Little damage
in Craig fire

Ailsa Craig's volunteer fire
department was summoned last
Tuesday evening to put out a
chimney fire at the home of
Walter Paff. The fire was quickly
put out and little' damage was
suffered.
Cuillerier family wins draw
Congratulations to the Robert
Cuillerier family of RR 3 Ailsa
Craig on winning the bigger than
life Snoopy in the Christmas draw
at McLeod's Home Hardware in
Ailsa Craig.
The winning ticket for the six
foot plush dog was pulled just
before closing time on Christmas
eve by teenager, Debbie Bice.

visited with Mr. & Mrs. George
Prest Monday evening.
