Mrs. Harry Ford gathered at the
Kirkton Community Centre for
dinner Sunday; the occasion
being Mrs. Fords 86th birthday.
Mrs. Ford is residing in Kit-
chener with her son Mr. and Mrs,
Clarence Ford.

OPENS DRUG STORE — Bill
Harwood, former president of
H&R Drugs in Stratford is opening
a new drug store• in Grand Bend.
The store, which will be at the
former location of the Serendipity
Gift Shop, will be open year
round. Mr. Harwood will take up
residence in Oakwood, where he
has maintained a summer home.

Snell of Exeter, was the lucky
winner of the hand made quilt
raffled off by the Exeter and
District Heritage Foundation.
The draw was made at the Joe
Overholt dance sponsored by the
Foundation, Friday night at the
recreation hall in Huron Park.
Approximately, 400 people
attended the dance and the profit
of about $500 will be added to the
funds being raised to restore the
town hall.
The quilt raffle brought in $216
for the fund.
