Rev. Madden
leads hymns
A Hymn Sing at the Sunday
morning service was led by Rev.
Ewart Madden using new
choruses which are becoming
popular in many United
Churches.
Speaking from Luke 24:49 Mr.
Madden told the congregation
that Jesus was in the midst of the
disciples in physical form as on
His second appearance, Thomas
not present at the first one, was
invited to "put your finger here,
and look at my hands; then
stretch out your hand and put it in
my side." There is no record that
Thomas did so, but his faith was
so great that he said "My Lord
and My God". Jesus is just as
real today, a living presence with
those who have faith in Him.
Jesus said ". . stay in the city,
until you are clothed with power
from on high" and still today this
power is ours for the taking.
