Granton Scout Hall filled for show
By MRS. E. SUMMERS
The scout Hall was filled to
capacity Friday and Saturday
nights for their Variety Show.
Sunday afternoon's performance
was supposed to be just for Perth
County scouts and cubs but an
overflow from the ticket sales
were accommodated Sunday.
The program consisted of a
series of skits, interspersed with
camp songs and a guitar solo by
Jeff Lemon. The skits depicted a
"Prehistoric Beauty Contest",
"Choosing the Easter. Bunny",
"A Real Estate office in Mother
Goose Land", "The Strongest
Element " and "The Foam
Ranger", put on by the leaders. It
was a hilarous comedy; a mixed
up western and a sea drama.
A special thanks to Michael
O'Shea who was the M.C. and
kept things moving between acts
with the odd story, and provided
the background music and piano
accompaniments for the whole
show, Leaders Ben Kop, Ron
Rose and cub leader Doreen
McRobert and her assistants Pat
Harlton, Gloria Riddell and
Audrey Westman, deserve a lot of
credit for the effort they put into
the production of this.
