Although small in number, the
Kinette Club of Hensall and
District has had a very busy
year. Fund raising projects so far
this year have included the
Harvest Dance, Fall Rummage
Sale, a food booth at a local
auction and just recently, the
Spring Rummage Sale. Before
the end of June they will run a
food booth at the 5th Annual
Ontario Fiddler's Contest, a
movie afternoon during the
Fiddler's Contest weekend and
another food booth at the Hensall
Spring Fair.
They have done a great deal of
community work this year which
was very enjoyable. The Kinettes
hosted a Christmas party for the
children of the town featuring a
puppet show and a visit from
Santa. They have visited the shut-
in people in town twice, taking
them a plant at each visit and
donated to a needy family at
Christmas and in June will
present two scholarships -to the
top boy and girl in the Grade 8
graduating class.
The Kinettes sponsored a foster
child through Canada Save the
Children and also canvassed the
town for the Ability Fund. In
March they organized a trip to
London to the Ice Capades for a
number of interested people in
town and have recently com-
pleted a six week baby-sitting
course for 12 teenagers. They
have agreed to help our Kinsmen
financially at the end of June, in

and what could be done for senior
citizens and of the great need for

artistic handmade rugs, some of

Plans for the Annual Spring
Bazaar and Tea were finalized.
This event is scheduled for
Wednesday, June 9, 2-4 p.m. The
bazaar and apron booth will be in
the classroom, the tea and bake
sale will be held in the

groceries, each member to
contribute an article for the
basket and the Dungannon ladies
to be in charge of the draw. The
proceeds to be used for equip-
ment for Huronview.
Mr. Archibald spoke on
registrations and activities for
Senior Citizens Week which
begins June 20. The June
auxiliary meeting will be held
