With Manuel Curts as Master of
Ceremonies, those taking part in
the concert were: Evelyn Curts,
organist and Dalton Walpole,
pianist from Stra throy , who
teamed up to present a twenty
minute rendition of the music of
yester-year; a ladies chorus
composed from the local church;
the Junior Sunday school
children in chorus; a gospel
singing group of sixyoungpeople
from the Lucan area; Mrs, Grace
Tolmes, Mrs. Pauline McLeod
and Susan Sercombe of the
Parkhill Baptist Church as a
vocal trio; Jack Levi of Parkhill
United Church, vocalist; three
piano students of Dalton Walpole,
Strathroy; and Brenda Bulloch
and Douglas Woodburn of the
local church as they sang in an
imaginery parade down Fifth
Avenue, New York City,
Rev. Geoffrey Dibbs, London,
who holds a Degree in Magic,
and has appeared throughout the
world on stage and television,
delighted the audience with his
magical comedy.
Coffee and doughnuts were
served to those participating,
following the program. The net
