The Lucan Ilderton Jets split
the first two games of their
quarter-final playoff series with
the Stratford Perths, taking the
first game 6-2 despite the
vaudevillian antics of Perth
coach John Campbell and
dropping the second game.
Campbell was ejected from the
first game near the end of the
third period by Referee Barry
Brownlee when he was pinned
with a gross misconduct.
Along with Campbell, defen-
ceman Charlie Robertson took a
game penalty when he was
caught spearing. He will be gone
for at least three games, and
possibly more if the 011A deems
SO,
Campbell has the choice of
taking a two game suspension or
paying $25 to be reinstated. If the
011A decides, they can waive the
$25 and suspend Campbell.
In other action, some of which
took place on the ice, the Jets
rolled to a 6-2 win Sunday but
dropped a 7-5 decision in Strat-
ford Tuesday evening.
Five of the six Jet goals came
on power play opportunities. Rick
Fifield had three goals, while
Rick Martin, Randy Roth and
