The regular meeting of St.
Paul's ACW was held at the house
of Mrs. Middleton on Friday
afternoon, The meeting opened
with "The Members Prayer"
followed by the Lord's Prayer.
An invitation was read by the
president, Mrs. Forrest. Mrs.
Windover read the scripture and
after the hymn Mrs. Anderson
gave the meditation. The minutes
were read and approved, the
correspondence was dealt with
and the questionnaire completed.
In keeping with the theme,
Rev. G.A. Anderson gave a talk
on "Unity". A biblical quiz was
conducted. The World's Day of
Prayer will be held at St, Paul's
Church. It was decided to pack a
hale in the spring. Membership
dues were paid and the Rev.
Anderson closed the meeting with
a prayer.
brassieres being too small, or the
panties being too large, or the
stockings not being sheer enough.
And then there's the monthly
bill. My wife has been carrying
on a running battle with Eaton's
billing department for years.
Every month there's a mistake in
it, the old girl gets furious, and I
have to listen to the tirade, which
can go on for an hour.
She has written letters which
were brilliant, cutting essays in
satire. She has written furious,
blunt letters. She has written
letters to the accounts manager,
the public relations vice-
president, the president of the
whole caboodle, She has wept
with rage and frustration when
they have been ignored, and the
voiceless,, faceless computer
spews out another monthly bill,
goofed up again.
Farewell, Eaton's catalogue,
You' were a great thing in' your
day. But I, for one, say good
riddance,

United church
Mrs. James McAllister opened
the meeting of Unit 4 of Hensall
United Church by reading a
poem. Mrs. Arthur Slade gave
the devotional based on the 23
Psalm. The study was taken by
Mrs. Earle Rowe who spoke on
the church "Window" fund. This
year's Beef Barbeque will be held
on May 26. It was also decided to
hold a luncheon the day of the
October General Meeting. The
World's Day of Prayer will be
observed at the Anglican Church
on Friday, March 6.
In place of a study all members
brought clippings about China,
and read them, in preparation for
the study of China next month.
The devotional was lead by Fran
Mickle when thoughts were
directed to John the Baptist, the
only man designated "great" by
Jesus. The singing of the hymn
"Come let us sing of a wonderful
love" and "Art thou weary,
heavy laden" and a prayer for
Faith by Peter Marshall con-
cluded the devotional. The of-
fering was dedicated and Diane
read a little about the customs
and beliefs of Valentine's Day.
After thanking all who had taken
part, the meeting closed with a
prayer and a contest was con-
ducted, followed by a delicious
lunch, served by Jeanette Turner
and Elsie Carlyle.

And I know another group that
will be happy with the bad news
that they will never again have

I don't care if I never see
another Eaton's catalogue. Or
Simpson's either.
For 25 years I have been taking
parcels back to the Eaton's order
office. My wife never takes them
back, and she rarely keeps
anything she has ordered. It's a
