Ten games
until playoffs
By PAUL SALMON
MAaci3MEnt. In Sauble League hockeyT action
during the latter part of
December, large numbers of
goals were the order of the day in
the three games played by the
Mt. Carmel team. December 18,
Mt. Carmel played the Brinsley
team to an 8-8 tie, December 23,
Mt. Carmel suffered one of few
defeats, losing to Shipka by a
score of 6-2. December 30, the Mt.
Carmel team was back in true
form, trouncing the Malcolm-
Welding team by a score of 12-1.
Ten regular season games
remain before play-offs begin,
and it appears that our Mt.
Carmel team is assured of one of
four play-off spots, if their quality
of playing is upheld,
At this point, honourable
mention must be given to Paul
McCann, a player on the Mt.
Carmel team, who good-
naturedly digs up details about
the games played by the Mt.
Carmel team, so that I may
report the team's progress to the
readers.
