Lucan church marks season The congregation of Lucan United Church joined in singing familiar carols, accompanied by Ray Koopman on the organ, and using the chimes, on Sunday morning. The choir sang Martin Luther's "From Heaven Above to Earth I Come" and Rev. Ewart Madden chose as his sermon topic "Jedus — King, Priest, Saviour", He said all these are wrapped up in the three gifts of the Magi. He told us the wisdom of the world had to stoop to the wisdom of Heaven, and said that Jesus was the perfect example of priesthood and, as He is our high priest, He is able to minister to us, giving us His power so we can witness for Him, Mrs. Sylvia Webb from Scotland was welcomed to the service together with several other visitors. Everyone is invited to the annual Christmas Eve Service Friday evening at 7:30. The Music of ' Christmas will be highlighted when the Clandeboye Youth Choir will join the Lucan Choir and the chimes will again enhance our carols. Sunday, December 26, Holy Communion will be observed, new members will be received on Profession of Faith and the Sacrament of Baptism will also be administered to some of the foregoing adults and their children, More arrives less departs The volume of mail received at the Exeter Post Office this Christmas season is up con- siderably from a year ago but outgoing mail has decreased.
