January. A letter was read from
the Women's Institute in Kippen,
Scotland, paving the way for an
exchange of pen pals if our
Institute is interested.
Mrs. James Drummond read a
poem "Priceless Gift" followed
by several short stories. The
president, Mrs. Hoggarth, gave
the Presidents message, "What
is in a gift?"
Many Christmas carols were
sung with Mrs. R. Broadfoot
accompanist and Santa Claus
distributed the "Secret Pals"
gifts.
Courtesy remarks were given
by Mrs. Hoggarth and lunch was
served by the hostess and the
committee in charge, Mrs.
Stewart Pepper and Mrs. Wm.
McDowell. Mrs. Robert Bell and
Mrs. Ernest Whitehouse had
charge of the program.
