Here k what happened , I lived in a house Owned by a friend of mine, also living there was himself, his Wife, and a couple of other guys. We all paid $50 a month to cover expenses, and we shared with the housework, cook• ing, etc. Anyway I was accused by my friend's wife of not doing my Share. This started a big row and I told them I was, leaving the next day. He said fine, but that I would have to pay d month's rent since I wasn't giving notice, Can he niake me pay? No, your friend is wrong. You would have to pay a month's rent Or give a month's notice if the landlord and Tenant Act applied, built does NOT apply where you share the plate, and where you do not have exclusive possession of Of least One part of it, The result is, that you are technically a boarder, and not a te- nant, Unless you specifically agree to Ohre a month's notice, you MOO only give "reasonable notice", to end the arrangement.
