Three games played
in recreation hockey
Three games were played this
week in the Exeter and district
Rec hockey league at the Hensall
arena. In Sunday's only game
Algoma Tire blanked Les Pines 2,
0.
Scores in Tuesday's
doubleheader were Pfaff Electric
6, MacLean-Passmore 2 and
Algoma Tire 9, Guess Whos 3.
Scoring in single fashion for
Algoma Tire in Sunday's victory
were Toni McDonald and George
Tryon.
Tuesday night, Rudy Dam-
janov led the 'Bremen with a two
goal performance. Getting single
goals were Gary Parsons, Paul
Kerslake, Bob McDonald, Dale
Skinner, Ed Kerslake, Bob Jones
and Jim McDonald.
The Guess Who scores were
notched by Mark Hookey, Brian
Horrell and Mike Higgins.
The Pfaff Electric scoring
parade was led by two successful
shots by Kevin Buchanan. Get-
ting one goal apiece were Brian
Hodgins, Bill Consitt, Murray
Glanville and Dennis Bierling.
Marksmen for MacLean-
Passmore were Dennis
Passmore and Bill Van Bergen.
In games this week MacLean-
Passmore and Guess Who meet
Sunday at 7 p.m.; Les Pines and
Guess Who will be the opposing
Dart lead
continues
The Sassenachs continue to
hold an eight point lead at the top
of the standings in the Exeter
Legion mixed dart league but
also have one game in hand.
The Sassenachs have 48 points
to their credit while the Flying
Highs and Doublers are next with
40 points apiece. Next come the
DR's and Itchy Niters with 38
points each. The Winkers have 37
points.
Following are the Las tChance
and Robins with equal point
totals of 34. The Scotties have 33
and the Outlaws and Out of Space
are deadlocked with 32 points.
The Outlaws also have one game
in hand.
Friday's schedule is as follows:

Ilderton wins
oldtimer test
The Ilderton Oldtimers won
three straight games in St.
Thomas Saturday to win the
hockey tournament which was
part of the Southwestern regional
Winter Games,
The Ilderton club edged London
4-3; blanked St. Thomas 4-0 and
outscored Wallaceburg 11-6 to
take the championship and
qualify to represent this region in
further play in North Bay in
February.
Moe Delves fired the winning
goal in the victory over London
and Keith Scarborough was in
goal in all three games. He
picked up the shutout against St,
Thomas.
Don Carter and Rick Hay were
the top scorers for the Ilderton
club. Also aiding in the scoring
were Red Douglas, Barry Hem,
Ken Loft, Don Urbshott and
Dusty Aldis.
Coaching of the Ilderton team
is handled by Ken Loft and Terry
Hodgins.
Bantams lose
In tournament
The Exeter Bantams dropped
two games in the annual Ilderton
Lions club tournament played at
the Ilderton arena, over the
weekend.
In the opening contest, the
Exeter youngsters dropped a 5-3
decision to Saltfleet and in the
consolation round they were
defeated 5-2 by Port Dover.
Against Saltfleet, the Exeter
club fell behind 2-0 by the end of
the second period and were
unable to recover.
Wayne Parsons notched the
first Exeter score on a pass from
Rick Lindenfield in the third
period.
In the latter stages of the game,
captain Doug Brooks converted a
pass from Mark Parsons and
Dave Bell registered with
passing help from Jeff Fuller.
Against Port Dover, Wayne
Smith counted the first Exeter
marker on a pass from Kevin
Parsons and Doug Brooks took a
pass from Mark Parsons to hit
the mark and complete the
Exeter scoring.
