may want a tankful of leaded

Start early
Against Woodstock Sunday
afternoon, the Jets wasted little
time getting on the scoreboard
and proving which club was the
best. After one minute and 10
seconds of play, Ed Robb tipped
in a rebound on a shot by Jacques
Cousineau, Jamie Robb also
assisted.

later Jack Chipchase regained
the three goal lead on a hard slap
shot from the point on a power
play. Rick Fifield and Brian
Murphy assisted,
The Jets scored the only three
goals of the middle period. Scott
Graham notched the first on a
shorthanded effort as he broke
away with Ed Parkinson on a
two-on-one effort at 3:45.
Diminutive Jacques Cousineau
took care of the rest of the scoring
with two successful shots, His
first score was set up by Ed and
Jamie Robb while defenceman
Jack Chipchase and Barry
Baynham were the playmakers
on the second.
Ed Robb closed off the L-I
club's scoring near the midway
point of the third period on a
three-way combination with Rick
Fifield and Jamie Robb,
With only 36 seconds
remaining, Rick Kelly of the
Royals put the second puck of the
afternoon behind Lorne Daer in
the Jets net.
Two goal lead disappears
Despite the fact a two goal lead
dissipated late in the third period
against Preston Friday, the Jets
outshot the Jesters 7-1 in over-
time but were forced to settle for
the 4-4 tie.
The Jets held a 3-1 lead at the
end of the first period and were
able to maintain the same margin
at 4-2 after 40 minutes of play but
the Jesters counted twice in the
last two and a half minutes of
play to force overtime.
Six of the eight goals scored
during the draw came as the
