This preliminary list of all Electors prepared as required
by Section 23 of the Municipal Elections Act 1972 as amend-
ed by 1974 Chapter 32 will be publicly posted in the Office of
the Municipal Clerk on the 28th day of October, 1976.
Electors should examine the list to ensure that their
names and relevant information are correctly shown.
Complaints in the nature of requests for additions or
corrections to or deletions from the list may be made by an
elector completing and filing a form obtainable at the Office
of Ihe Clerk,
The last day of filing farms, requesting additions, correc-
tions or deletions is NOVEMBER 5th, 1976,
The electors are also reminded the school support list for
1977 taxes may be inspected at the office of the Clerk during
office hours.

Hensall church women host
Huron-Perth fall session
The Hensall United Church
Women recently hosted the 15th
Regional meeting of the South
Huron region of Huron-Perth-
Presbyterial, Attending were 95
ladies. They were welcomed by
Mrs. Ian McAllister, ,Hensall,
UCW president and Mrs. Howard
Pym, South Regional president,
The morning session opened
with a lively Sing along led by
Mrs. Marion McCaffrey, "Count
Your Blessings," the theme for
the day was thoughtfully ex-
pressed in the worship services
given by Crediton and Greenw-
ay UM members,
Mrs. Wes Neil gave an
enthusiastic report on West-
minster Weekend held last May.
Several ladies from the Cen-
tralia UCW presented a skit en-
titled 'The UCW Clinic.' The con-
tent dealing with nearly every
aspect of UCW work at the local
level, Many helpful ideas were
gleaned from it,
Guest . speaker, Jim Somer-
ville, president of Compassion of
Canada gave a challenging
message, He stated, "We must
not sit back on the shelf, there is
something for each of us to do
and we can do it."
He told of several people he
has met through his work and in
spite of senior years these people
were making very worthwhile
contributions.

Mrs. Roy MacDonald
The former Clara Sararas wife
of Roy A MacDonald, Hensall,
passed away in South Huron
Hospital, Exeter on Thursday,
October 14 in her 72nd year.
Surviving is her husband, Roy A
MacDonald, mother Mrs.
Elizabeth Sararas, Hensall,
brother Earl, Weston; Ross,
Hensall; sisters Mrs. Laura
Hubbell, Toronto; Mrs. Edna
Caldwell, Exeter; Mrs. Jack
(Greta) Reid, Mississauga; Mrs.
Doris Bonthron, London.
Funeral service was held from
the Bonthron Funeral Home,
Ilensall, Saturday October 16 at 2
p.m. with Rev. Don Beck of-
ficiating. Interment in Staffa
Cemetery.
The pallbearers were: Carter
Kerslake, Cliff Miller, Spencer
Jeffrey, Gordon Hoggarth, Dick
Taylor, Harold Coleman, Flower
bearers were Bill Gilfillan, Allan
Sararas, Harold Caldwell and
pavid Sararas.
Lloyd McDonald
Lloya McDonald, well-known
Hay township farmer died at
South Huron Hospital, Exeter on
Saturday, Cotober 16. Son of the
late Mr. & Mrs. John McDonald
he is survived by his wife Anna
(Patterson) one twin-sister Mrs.
Russell (Lulu) Love, Kincardine,
one niece and five nephews. A
sister Mrs. J. G, (Olive) Davis
predeceased him.
Funeral service was held from
the Bonthron Funeral Home on
Tuesday, conducted by the Rev.
Don Beck. Interment in Exeter
Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Harry
Smith, Bill Rowcliffe, Ray
Ingram, Sandy Munn, Bill and
Joe Bengough. Flower Bearers
were Donald Davis, Leonard
Davis, Douglas Love and Murray
Love.
Presbyterial were expressed by
Mrs., Leonard Strong, president,
She urged all local presidents
and nominations committee
chairmen to attend the
Presbyterial executive meeting
in Walton, November 4.
Enterainment was the high-
light of the Women's Institute
October meeting held last Wed-
nesday, October 13, at the
Hensall Legion Hall. The topic
was i Family and Consumer
Affairs. The Miller family from
Zurich playing two guitars,
drums and moroccos played
selections and requests froth
the audience for about half an
hour and were keenly appreci-
ated. The meeting was chaired
and opened by the president,
Mrs. Cecil Pepper, reading a
poem, "Thanks" and a humor-
ous reading, "The Passing
Phase" was read by Mrs, Jack
Corbett.
During the business session
it was decided to contribute
to the C.N.I.B. as usual, a
letter about the Huron County
Women's Institut/a ftlirqnry wns
read and 16 members answered
the roll call, "Name a nutri-
tious food beginning with your
initial", There were six visitors.
Next month there will be a
special collection for the Child-
ren's Aid Society.
Mrs. Peper gave a report of
the Fall Rally held at Dash-
wood on October 4.

Miss Melanie Veal was
hostess at her home oh Saturday
evening when the girls from
Grade 13 South Huron High
School assembled in honour of
Miss Bev. Finnen, Kitchener,
formerly of Exeter, and Miss Jill
Drysdale, Hensall. The former's
marriage takes place on
Saturday and the latter's next
month.
A social hour was enjoyued
during which the guests of honour
were presented with
miscellaneous gifts.
Personals
Miss Margagret Mousseau was
the lucky winner of a radio at the
Stedman's Store in Exeter this
week.
Mr. Ed Schroeder who has been ,
a patient in South Huron Hospital
Exeter for the past two weeks
was able to return to his home
this week,
Mrs. Brian Campbell is a
patient in South Huron Hospital,
Exeter.
Mr. & Mrs. Harold Parker and
Mr. & Mrs. Robert Keyes spent
the weekend at Collingwood and
Tobermory and crossed by boat
to Manitoulin Island.

An invitation to hold the 1977
meeting in Centralia United
Church was accepted.

and will be a Hallowe'en Party,
everyone to dress up.
Ladies visit
craft store
A visit to The Country Spire
craft and gift shop was
thoroughly enjoyed by the
members of Unit 2 of Hensall
U.C.W. for their October meeting
on Monday evening. Eighteen
members toured the store at
their leisure before the meeting
was held in the coffee shop and
the evening was completed with a
lunch of homemade scones, jam
and coffee,
Mrs. Lorne Chapman chaired
the meeting opening with a poem
"October." and Mrs. Pearl
Passmore gave a short
devotional reading excerpts from
a book on God's care for animals,
"How Great Thou Art". One was
about the deer and the other
about sheep. After that, all
repeated Psalm 23 in unison.
The business was conducted by
Mrs. Carl Payne and she
reported the profit from,
"Luncheon is Served" amounted
to $92.25, that the UCW will be
having a booth at the church
Auction Sale, and offers to help
can be given to Mrs. Grace
Drummond, that our Fall and
Winter project is to get new
members for the units and that
United Church calendars would
be on sale again this year.
Dried flowers for the church
have been donated. It was
decided that Unit 2 would
amalgamate with other units for
money-raising projects. Profits
from the Summer Bar-b-que are
to be transferred to the Window
Fund. „,
The next Presbyterial will be
on January 25 or 18 and there will
be an executive meeting at
Walton on November, when new
directives will be discussed
regarding committees in the
UCW.
Secretary Mrs. Helen MacLean
read the minutes of the last
meeting and thank-you cards
from Mr. & Mrs. Richardson and
from Mrs. Dave Brock. A
presentation was made to Mrs.
Pearl Passmore who is moving to
London in the near future.
CNIB CANVASS
Eric Luther reports total
receipts for the Canadian
National Institute for the Blind
canvass to date at $492. As
previously advised the target for
this year.is $1,200. Area residents
who have been canvassed by mail
are asked to forward their
donations to Mr. Luther at the
Bank of Montreal. Your generous
support is requested to ensure
our campaign is successful again
this year. Thank you very much.
LIVESTOCK
REPORT
Prices were higher at the live-
stock sales this week., contri-
buting to an active demand.
Supply consisted mainly of
heifers and steers. Fat cattle:
heifers, $38.50-$40.50, sales to
$41.90; steers $39.50444.10,
sales to $44.50. Pigs: weanlings
$25.06433.00, chunks $33.75-
$42.50.
