Two of four area municipalities
have given unqualified approval
to the formation of an area
recreation committee.
Exeter and Usborne councils
have agreed with the proposals
drawn up for the establishment of
the committee. Those proposals
were set forth in a recent meeting
between the heads of the councils
of Exeter, Usborne, Stephen and
Hay.
Stephen council also approved
the formation of the committee,
but on the condition that all other
municipalities agree.
The question mark appears to
be Hay council. The matter was
discussed at their September
meeting, but no action was taken.
, Clerk Wayne Horner indicated
the council may have some
difficulty in deciding what area to
join if area recreation cemes
about in the county.
Hay residents are presently
served by recreation facilities in
Exeter, Hensall and Zurich.
