By MRS. WILLIAM ROHDE THAMES ROAP Around 140 people attended the Outdoor church service at Riverview Park on Sunday morning. After the regular church service a delicious dinner was partaken of. The table committee were Mr. & Mrs. Arnold Cann, Mr. & Mrs. Howard Johns and Mr. & Mrs. Lorne Passmore. During the church service Mrs. Murray Dawson, superintendent and Laurel Hodgert assistant secretary gave out the seals for attendance. 2nd year seal: Wendy Ballantyne, Greg Lamport, Heather Reid and Tracy Reid. 4th year seal: Barry Cun- nington and Julie Lamport; 8th year seal: Gerald Cunnington, Alan Hodgert; 9th year seal: Scott Hodgert, Michael Stewart, Paul Stewart. 10th year seal, Cheryl Stewart; 11th year seal: David Cun- nington, Joyce Cunnington, 13th year seal: Ruth Bray, Brenda Hodgert, Donna Stewart, Murray Stewart; 14th year seal, Diane Hodgert. Roy Coward of Exeter and Mrs. Glen Stewart returned home on. Saturday after having visited with Mr. & Mrs. Hi Dixon and family of Claresholm, Alberta, for 12 days, Several from this community attended the Garden Party on Wednesday evening at Kirk ton. Mr. & Mrs, -Hector McGlaughlin and Andrew of Windsor spent the weekend with Rev. Barry and Mrs. Robinson. Blayne Epp returned home from the hospital recently having had his tonsils and adenoids removed. Mr. & Mrs. Fred Nethway and Nicole of Strathroy visited on Saturday with Mrs. Glenn Rohde. Mrs. Glenn Rohde and Mrs. William Rohde visited on Monday afternoon with Mrs. Harry Kingma in St. Joseph's Hospital, London. She has a new son, Darryl. Mr. & Mrs. Edwin Miller returned home Saturday evening after having been on the Beef Producers Bus Trip to Nova Scotia for the past two weeks. Cheryl Stewart is attending camp at Goderich this week, Miss Marguerite Zillig of Windsor, Nova Scotia is visiting Barbara Miller this week and Miss Cindy Northup of Windsor, Nova Scotia is visitng Elaine Stewart this week. They are 4-H exchange students. Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Ballantyne spent last week in Northern Ontario. Quite a number from this community called at the Hopper- Hockey Funeral Home, Exeter, to pay their respect to the late Ken Hern who passed away Thursday, Mr. & Mrs. William Rohde called on Mr. & Mrs. William Snow, Exeter, Friday evening. There will be no services at Elimville or Thames Road churches until September 5. Mr. & Mrs. Glenn Jeffery and Mrs. Hazel Jeffery attended the funeral of the latter's sister-in- law the late Mrs. Will Luther at the T. Stephenson Funeral Home, Ailsa Craig, Thursday of last week.
