vows in St. James Roman Catholic Church, Seaforth, on July 17, The
bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Connolly, RR 3, Kippen,
while the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Cole, RR 2, Staffa.
The ceremony was conducted by Father Sullivan and music provided
by Miss Margaret Sills. Attendants included Eileen Connolly, Lynne
McDonald, Jean Cole, Hillary Laking, Robert Templeman, Patrick Con-
nolly, Calvin Annis and Murray Connolly. The couple will reside at RR

Mr. +4 Mrs. Frank Hicks and
Mr. & Mrs. Robert Blair returned
home last week following a motor
trip to the Western provinces,
Mr. & Mrs. Hicks were in
Calgary to attend the Martin-
Omstead wedding. The groom is
a nephew of Mrs. Hicks. They
also visited in Edmonton with
Mr. & Mrs, Jack Andrew. Mr. &
Mrs. Blair flew from Calgary to
Vancouver to visit with Mr. &
Mrs, Andrew Blair.
On the way home they visited
with the Beaton family who are
on vacation attheir cottage at
Echo Bay and with Mr. & Mrs.
Ray Shoebottom in Parry
Sound,
Mr. & Mrs, Percy Knee
returned home on Saturday
evening following a two week's
vacation with relatives in
Newfoundland. They made the
trip by plane,
Mr. Harry Wilson who had the
misfortune to fracture his leg in a
fall was able to return home from
University Hospital, Friday.
Mr. Lawrence Hirtzel returned
home Tuesday having been a
patient in Victoria Hospital for
the past week.
Mrs. John Thompson was a
visitor for a few days last week at
the home of her sister and
brother-in-law, Mr. & Mrs,
Canaan Dawdy in Dutton. Mr. &
Mrs. Dawdy had been visitors
with her over the previous
weekend.
Mr. & Mrs. Charles Railings
have returned home following a
trip to the West Coast with Fettes
Tours. The tour included Van-
couver, and the Island,
Edmonton, Calgary, Columbia
Ice Fields, Butchart Gardens,
Jasper, Banff, Okanagan Valley
and other points of interest.
They renewed acquaintances
with Mr. & Mrs. Dick Parker of
Harriston former Centralia
residents who were among the
travellers on the bus.
Weekend guests with Mr. &
Mrs, George Snell were Mr. &
Mrs, Charlie Gingerich of Kit-
chener and Mr, & Mrs. Casey Van
Der Gulk of Wallaceburg and all
attended the Snell-
Schwartzentruber wedding in
Zurich on Saturday. Mr. & Mrs,
Snell entertained at their home
following the wedding rehearsal
on Friday evening,
Mr. & Mrs. Orme Pollock of
Kincardine were guests at the
home of Mrs. Lorne Hicks for a
couple of days last week.

Mrs. Lorne Hicks and Mr. &
Mrs. Clayton Scheifile attended a
graduation party at the home of
Mr, & Mrs. Jack Mackenzie in
Lucknow on Sunday. Mr. BE Mrs.
Mackenzie were entertaining in
honour of their daughter Dianne
who graduated as a nurse.
Mr. & Mrs. Clayton Scrieifile
returned to their home in Kit-
chener on Monday after visiting
with Mrs, Lorne Hicks.
