NO-FROST
REFRIGERATOR
For every member of the
family there is lots to like
about a new Kelvinator. Mom
likes its stylish good looks -
and its abundant storage
space - now she can buy
ahead and save shopping
trips. Dad likes Its efficient
and economical operation -
lots of ice cubes - beverages
always cold - and the "Power
Miser" saves him money. The
kids love all the frozen treats
that the big 112 lb. No Frost
freezer holds - and the door
opens silently and closes
silently on a positive magnetic
seal to keep all that cold in.
For years of good service - get
the best for your family,
KELVINATOR.

additional physician in town as
Dr, Charles W. Hoch of London
plans to open an office on George
Street in Ailsa Craig.
Presently on staff at the Mt.
Brydges ,Health Clinic where he
is specializing in family
medicine, Dr. Hoch has leased
the residence at 168 George
Street in Ailsa Craig and is
currently in the process of
equipping it for an office and
examining room. He anticipates
being in Ailsa Craig five days a
week, Monday to Fridays,
Mornings and afternoons.
Born in St. Catharines, Dr.
Hoch studied at McGill
University in Montreal where he
obtained his M.D. He then came
to London for his internship at St.
Joseph's Hospital. For the past
year he has been doing post-
graduate work in the field of
family medicine.
Married in 1973 to Ruth
Archibald of Vineland, the couple
presently are living in London.
Mrs. Hoch is a Public Health
Nurse and practices nursing in
the East London area. The couple
plan to eventually reside in the
Ailsa Craig area, but will con-
tinue in London for the present.
"It will be handy for hospital
calls at St. Joseph's', said Dr,
Hock. "And as long as Ruth is
nursing I will commute back and
forth each day to Ailsa Craig."
But uliimately we will buy a
house close to my practice".
When approached by the Ailsa
Craig Business Association to
consider Ailsa Craig as a
possible location for h is prac-
tice, Dr. Hoch was pleased,
"I had heard that Ailsa Craig
was an outstanding and friendly
community", he said. "I'm very
much looking forward to
coming".

Seventeen members of the
Riverview Women's Institute
met at the' Masonic Hall in Ailsa
Craig for their regular meeting
on Tuesday, July 6. President,
Mrs. Alden Craven presided. Roll
call was taken with members
responding by naming their
favourite plant, and explaining
why it had significance for them.
A variety of flowers and
vegetables were named but a
coloured photo of a plant in full
bloom brought by Mrs. Nola
McEwen was of great interest.
She had raised the plant from a
slip brought from the west,
Mrs. Olive Currie and Mrs.
Stuart McCallum gave a detailed
report of the May13 District
annual meeting held at Lucan.
The group sang, "The Maple
Leaf Forever", while Mrs. Roy
Morton accompanied them on the
piano. Mrs. Charlie Garrod,
Agriculture and Canadian
Industries convener, then read
an article on the songs
background.
Members grouped together and
drove their cars to Nairn and
visited Stewart's Research
Centre. Mrs. Louis Ho Plant,
breeder, welcomed the members.
She explained the breeding and
growth of various types of barley
both she and her husband work
on at the research centre.
She outlined how each variety
of Hybrid is originated by
research and explained how
Stewart's seeds are unique in the
grain business in Canada,
Productuon is backed by a
private research programme
enabling barley growers to obtain
seed whose yield is higher and
which is more disease resistant.
Many nevOmproved varieties
'orcereal grains': white beans and
soybeans will soon be available
due to the work undertaken at the
research centre.
The group returned to the
Masonic Hall and continued with
the meeting. An invitation was
